The Digital Platform ALMADA MURALS AT THE MARITIME STATIONS INTERPRETATION CENTRE comprises the website, the mobile version of the website and the mobile application (for Android and IOS).

The website, the mobile version of the website and the CIHB mobile application are referred to hereinafter jointly and indifferently as the ‘Platform’.

Please read our Privacy Policy carefully before using the Platform.

Associação Turismo de Lisboa - Visitors and Convention Bureau (ATL) recognises, values, respects and defends your right to privacy and therefore follows this Privacy Policy, which governs the collection and use of personal information through the Platform.

By using the Platform, you agree to the Platform obtaining and using your personal information, provided that it is done in accordance with this Privacy Policy. Obtaining personal information

Unregistered users will only be able to take advantage of Platform functions that do not require user registration, and the following information will be obtained for unregistered Platform users:

  • Geolocalisation and length of stay;
  • Interaction with external social networks and platforms: Facebook, Twitter and Google+;
  • click-through.

Registered users take full advantage of all the Platform's functions, and the following information is obtained about registered Platform users, in addition to that mentioned above:

  • Personal information in the form of data entered manually by the user, such as name, nationality, date of birth, interests, start date and end date of the journey and people accompanying the user on the journey;
  • Facebook Likes and interests;
  • Activities carried out and places visited (the user's places of physical/presential stay and the duration of that stay);
  • Date of use of the Platform's various functionalities;
  • Activities chosen/planned via the Platform;
  • Activities booked/reserved through the Platform, date of booking/reservation and date the activity took place;
  • Use of the Platform's various functionalities and selected activities.

Use of personal information

Users' personal information is used to help them plan their trip, obtain suggestions (recommendation of experiences and indication of recommended itineraries) and manage the activities they choose to do, improving and enriching their experience of visiting Lisbon.

The Platform also uses users' personal information for non-nominative statistical processing, with the aim of producing reports, studies and/or statistical analyses, without any possibility of identifying users individually. This data processing and the development of models based on this information may be carried out by external suppliers, namely lostinthestars, lda and ebusiness ventures S.A. de C.V..

The reports, studies and/or statistical analyses produced on the basis of the information collected by the Platform may be made available to third parties, free of charge or for a fee, without any possibility of identifying users individually.

If Associação Turismo de Lisboa - Visitors and Convention Bureau (ATL) is legally obliged to co-operate with judicial or administrative authorities and has to disclose the personal information of Platform users, it will only provide the information requested or that which is justified within the scope of the judicial or administrative process. Users' personal information may also be provided to official authorities within the scope of judicial or administrative proceedings if this proves necessary to remove or reduce the criminal or civil liability of Associação Turismo de Lisboa - Visitors and Convention Bureau (ATL) or convenient for the defence of its rights.

Associação Turismo de Lisboa - Visitors and Convention Bureau (ATL) has adopted security procedures to protect the personal information provided by users of the Platform. Procedures are used to protect stored personal information against unauthorised access, such as passwords and HTTPS security certificates, as well as technical and organisational measures to prevent unauthorised or unlawful processing of personal information and against loss or destruction, including accidental loss,

The Platform is intended for use only by persons of legal age, so if a person under the age of 18 enters personal information on the Platform it will only be used to contact that person directly and inform them that they may not use the Platform as a minor.

To check and change the personal information provided through the procedure for registering as a user of the Platform, in particular to correct incorrect data or update it, you must use the settings in your personal account on the Platform.

The Associação Turismo de Lisboa - Visitors and Convention Bureau (ATL) reserves the right to change this Privacy Policy at any time, at its sole discretion, if it deems it necessary. If changes to the Privacy Policy seriously affect personal information already obtained from users of the Platform, Associação Turismo de Lisboa - Visitors and Convention Bureau (ATL) will take the measures it deems reasonable and appropriate to alert these users to the changes made to the Privacy Policy and to the option of modifying or cancelling their registration on the Platform.

This Privacy Policy also applies to the website, the mobile version of the website and the mobile application that make up the Almada Murals at the Maritime Stations Interpretation Centre digital platform.
